Would anyone be interested in a 1950's vintage commercial vaccuum tube transmitter? Radio station WPNA in Oak Park has a Gates BC 1 commercial AM transmitter that has been replaced and must be removed from the station. Max. power is 1000 watts. It needs to be repaired. It is tuned to 1490 Khz. It see more... could be converted for use on the160 meter band. The cost is FREE. However, any person wanting it will have to take it apart and transport it from the station themselves. Spare tubes and other parts are included.
