I am an art teacher for 35 yrs. in the same district a single school district in the burbs of Chicago. One has to be passionate and love what they do and change with the times as each year presents new challenges .All students need more nurturing educators ( we have changed our roles because the see more... economy presents parents needing to provide for their families and many times this cuts into the base time devoted to their children. Teachers... need to nurture and teach ..not be swallowed up with tons of paperwork as state mandatates just demand more.
