Today, again, I read about the retribution, the compensation that the Negroes deserve for the period as slaves in the USA. Negros must be compensated for their suffering during that time, and later the same will be requested for the Latinos. But I think this is a misleading history, where only convenient stories are presented to support a very weak argument. Let me present my view as a Latino of what the history tells us. Before the Negroes came to America, they were slaves in Africa, Europe, the Middle East, and other countries. One of the most Arabs prolific businesses was slave trade. Africa provided the slaves for the world; powerful tribes subdued other tribes and sold the males and females as slaves. The Arabs didn’t hunt the slave on African soil; they were afraid of the illnesses, and the control that the powerful tribe wanted to have over the slave trade. So, what they did was to purchase the Negroes from these other tribes. The Negro population was extremely superstitious and were carriers of dangerous diseases. About 50% of the slaves died during their trip to America, due to different conditions. In America, they spread many diseases that killed many Indians and the Europeans. In America, other Negroes were slave owners. And in most of the farms belonging to whites, a Negro was used to deal with the slave community. The South needed that manpower for farm work, different from the North.. I read that during the emancipation, many negros refused to leave their "masters". Let's review the history of the Latinos who identified themselves with the Indians. The American Indian were extremely superstitious. Some claim that the Aztecs, whom many considered an advanced civilization, killed over 300,000 people in their gods’ sacrifices. The same can be say about the Incas and Mayan. The Indian in America were nomads and were in constant battle with other tribes. Those that lost the battle with another tribe became slaves, the same that occurred in Africa. A very important issue to remember is that the slaves were sold by their own people. All of the individuals that were part of the subdued tribe became slaves or died I sacrifices. This same process has been in effect since the origin of humanity. And I want to make a personal remark: the Negros and the Latinos are in better conditions NOW in the USA than their relatives in their original countries. Everything presented in this document can be documented the necessary tool is desire to find the truth.
