WTIX 94.3 - WTIX-FM - FM 94.3 - Galliano, LA

For those who aren't aware, WTIX , "The Mighty 6-90" was one of the first if not THE first Top 40 stations in the world! Happily, Tix-FM exists and is very enjoyable. The reason I know about some radio history is that I was kid of 9 or 10 when my friends from Kenner told us about their new favorite radio station back in either 1958 or 1959. Mike has successfully managed to give WTIX a wonderful magic which I love...keep it up! Paul in Asuncion, Paraguay, South America. I listen as often as possible!

I started listening to WTIX soon after I was myself a DJ at the young age of 12. Living over in Texas I could hear TIX / had a powerful daytime signal but disappeared at night. In the early '60s such guys as Robert Mitchell, "Buzz" Bennett, Ted Green, Deane Johnson, Bobby Reno, "King" Bob Walker, and Don Anthony were the greatest! Love those PAMS jingles and all of the hits mixed with crazy promotions. WTIX lives on thanks to Mike in the Morning Costello! Doing a great job!
