If you want ignorance, bigotry and misinformation, tune to WNIR. Mark Richards is a self-righteous blowhard who claims to keep opinion out of his newscasts but constantly injects his right-wing bias into stories. John Denning is the delusional king of Trumplandia who actually compared Trump's rise see more... to the Renaissance and Enlightenment (seriously, as he would say). I guess that trip to Italy was wasted on a rube like him. Bob Golic regurgitates Fox talking points when he isn't hanging up on callers who challenge him. And then you've got Jim Isabella, a simpleton who is the epitome of the Dunning-Kruger effect. He basically spends his entire show trashing people who are smarter, more talented and more successful than him. When Obama was president, Isabella, who I swear eats food on the air, would constantly call him a narcissist. Yet he strangely never mentions Trump's pathological, malignant narcissism that is objectively infinitely greater then Obama's. For a good laugh, you can always listen to the crazies ,local yokels and racists who populate the phone lines.

I used to listen to WNIR beginning in the late 70's. Ever since they hired their new crews, (and I am not talking about the morning show - they are awesome) I am talking about Couch, Golic and Isabella, their shows have really changed my mind about the WNIR that I once enjoyed listening to. All the see more... y want to do is make fun of people and call people (important people) names. How juvenile is that? I have lost so much respect for the radio station as a whole and think even less of the owner. That being said I am no longer a listener of any of the shows other than the morning show with Steve, Phil and Angela. I only hope that maybe someday the ownership will wake up.

Wish list: Tell Golic to stop sucking snot back up and swallowing it - WE CAN HEAR IT. Also, the little grunting throat grrr between every sentence. Not sure if he's stalling for time, or has actual mucus overproduction but it's G-D annoying. John Denning: No need to say Sow-OOODI Arabia every see more... time you pronounce it. It's stupid and makes you sound stupid too. Mark Richards: Leave your disapproving tone out of newscasts. No one knows what you mean by outdated terms such as 'hot lead', 'drop a dime' or the inane "super slabs" during traffic reports. Just stop with your lecturing. And the 'poor me' vibe.

It's certainly not the same. Midday host thinks he's really smart and funny - neither is true. Afternoon host stammers and stutters so much it's nearly intolerable. When his fake baby-voiced wife is on (Fridays) I listen to something else.
