Address the rising cost of insurance in AL. The vast difference in N. AL and S. AL The residents that used to be truck and dairy farmers and furnished a large portion of America's food supply. Prior to hurricaine Fedrick there were 250 trucks going out of Baldwin Co. per day in season. Now , it will be a good year to send 250 trucks per season. Also, 5 dairy farms were in Bald. Co. Now there are none. After Fredric, we were bombarded with the rich from up north and built condos and a lot of the rich from N AL bought them for vacations and summer homes. The insurance companies didn't have to insure them. But they got greedy and wanted a piece of the pie Therefore, they raised the people that had lived her all their lives and farmed just like you folks. Now some of them are losing their homes. Because now they are retired and on social security, they are losing their homes. due to the increase in insurance. The increase was over 200% My personal ins. went from $750.per yr to $2,875 per year. We would have lost our home, had we not found an Ins co that was much more reasonable. Along time resident of Baldwin Co.
