ANTHEMIC POP SONG TO BROADCAST FROM HIT U.S. SONGWRITER
My name is Mike Taplinger (stage name Mike T. Lewis), a songwriter from Nashville, TN in the U.S. A number of years ago, I had a giant hit in Korea called "A Heartbeat Away." The Korean version of this song was #1 for quite awhile, sold over a

million copies, and apparently is still the #2 female pop ballad of all time in that country.
I have a new song called "I Wanna Be Free"that is fun, hooky, uptempo, musical, and simple, but is meant to be about a serious subject: freedom. I wanted to use a thumbnail description of a personal relationship in a lyric to encourage people everywhere to celebrate being free and to feel how important freedom is. Sometimes, a lot of us do not appreciate how essential freedom is, but I think those who are deprived of it truly understand its importance. As you know, there are many countries around the globe where people are not free to speak and live as they would like. I wrote "I Wanna Be Free" as a catchy pop anthem to inspire those people and to cheer them on to rally for and press for freedom wherever they are.
I hope that you will give this song a listen and see if this would be useful to you to broadcast as you see fit.
"I Wanna Be Free" was recently recorded and will be released digitally by my band, the Twangtown Paramours on March 10. We also just finished a simple lyric video that will be made public around the same time. I am providing a youtube link and soundcloud link below. If this idea is of interest to you, I can provide you with an mp3 or other audio file.
Thank you for listening. I look forward to any thoughts you have.
Regards,
Mike Taplinger
